Quick basics: What Balance and Burn is (in plain English)

If you just need the simple overview before you dive into the science, start here.

What it is

Balance and Burn is a daily morning system with three coordinated parts designed to support metabolic signaling, appetite/satiety cues, blood sugar steadiness, and fat metabolism.

3-part system Morning routine Order matters

It’s meant to support regulation first — not force, not stim, not crash dieting.

How you take it

Take it in order:

  • Balance and Care stick pack first
  • Control capsules next (2)
  • Burn capsule last (1)

The order is designed to start in the gut, then support glucose/cravings, then support fat utilization.

Why this product exists

Most people I talk to are not looking for another weight loss thing. They want answers.

  • Why does my appetite feel louder than it used to?
  • Why do I feel out of control around food even when I care about my health?
  • Why does my body feel resistant, puffy, or stuck?
  • Why am I hearing about GLP-1 medications everywhere, and should I be concerned?

Balance and Burn exists because metabolic signaling matters more than calorie control, and one of the most important signals in that conversation is GLP-1.

A non negotiable reminder
Supplements can support your habits — they cannot replace them. Food and movement still matter most.

What you eat and how much you move matters. A lot. Food and movement influence long term health and longevity more than supplements ever will.

Supplements can support your habits, but they cannot replace them. It is a mistake to rely on capsules while ignoring the basics.

You cannot out supplement your diet.

  • You cannot supplement your way out of poor eating.
  • Capsules do not cancel cookies.
  • Pills do not override pizza.
  • Supplements help, but they do not perform miracles.
  • No amount of supplements fixes a fork problem.
  • Supplements do not undo drive thru decisions.
  • You cannot biohack your way past poor nourishment.

Still with me. Good. Let’s get into the system.

What it is + order + GLP-1 basics + the 3 parts

What Balance and Burn is: a daily metabolic support system made up of three coordinated parts, designed to be taken together in a specific order each morning.

Order matters: Balance first (gut + signaling), Control next (blood sugar + cravings), Burn last (fat metabolism once the system is calmer).

GLP-1 basics: GLP-1 is a gut-produced hormone involved in satiety signaling, gastric emptying, blood sugar metabolism, and gut-brain-pancreas communication. When signaling is disrupted, appetite can feel urgent and energy can become unstable.

The 3 parts: Balance and Care (gut-first GLP-1 support), Burn (fat mobilization + utilization), Control (blood sugar + insulin support). For full detail, use the sections below or keep reading this page top to bottom.

What Balance and Burn is

Before we talk science, hormones, or gut health, here is the practical setup. This is a daily metabolic support system made up of three coordinated parts, designed to be taken together in a specific order each morning.

It is not one pill trying to do everything. It is a system because metabolism works best when multiple signals are supported at the same time.

What you take each day

1) Balance and Care stick pack, taken first

Form: Powder stick pack Timing: First

This is a powder stick pack you can pour on your tongue, or mix with water if you prefer. This is the foundation of the system and where everything begins.

Balance and Care is designed to support:

  • The gut environment
  • Microbiome balance
  • GLP-1 signaling pathways that originate in the gut

Because GLP-1 is a gut produced hormone, this step comes first. You support the environment where metabolic signals are created before asking the body to do anything else.

2) Burn and Control capsules, taken after the stick pack

Form: Capsules Timing: After stick pack

Each day includes a capsule packet containing:

  • One Burn capsule
  • Two Control capsules

Control focuses on blood sugar response, insulin sensitivity, and cravings support. Burn supports fat mobilization and fat utilization, not stimulation or appetite suppression.

These are designed to be taken daily as part of the same morning routine.

Why the order matters

This order is intentional.

  • Balance first, support the gut and metabolic signaling
  • Control next, support blood sugar and cravings
  • Burn last, support fat metabolism once the system is calmer

This is different from products that start with burn and hope the body keeps up. Balance and Burn is designed to support regulation first, not force.

GLP-1, what it is

GLP-1, glucagon like peptide 1, is a hormone produced in the gut, mainly by specialized cells called L cells, in response to food.

GLP-1 plays a role in:

  • Signaling satiety, the “I’m full” message
  • Slowing gastric emptying
  • Supporting healthy blood sugar metabolism
  • Communication between the gut, brain, and pancreas

When that signaling is disrupted, appetite can feel urgent, cravings can increase, and energy can become unstable. This can be influenced by gut imbalance, chronic stress, inflammation, or blood sugar swings.

That is one reason GLP-1 medications exist, they override the signal. Balance and Burn supports the body’s own GLP-1 signaling by supporting the gut, blood sugar response, and fat metabolism together.

The 3 parts, explained

Part 1, Balance and Care, gut first GLP-1 support

Form: Powder stick pack Taken: First thing in the morning Primary role: Gut → GLP-1 → metabolic tone

GLP-1 is produced in the gut, so Balance and Care is designed to support the gut environment where metabolic signaling begins. This formula focuses on microbiome balance, gut barrier integrity, and short chain fatty acid activity, all of which influence appetite signaling, blood sugar response, and overall metabolic tone.

Designed to support

  • GLP-1 production and signaling
  • L cell modulation in the gut
  • Butyrate production, a short chain fatty acid
  • Healthy microbiome diversity

Key ingredients and why they are here

Akkermansia muciniphila, postbiotic, 10 billion TFU.

Akkermansia is one of the most studied gut bacteria in metabolic research. It lives along the intestinal lining and plays a key role in maintaining gut barrier integrity.

Research has associated Akkermansia with:

  • Improved insulin sensitivity
  • Reduced metabolic endotoxemia, inflammatory signaling from the gut
  • Healthier gut lining function

In an 8 week randomized controlled trial in overweight adults, supplementation with Akkermansia, viable or pasteurized, increased GLP-1 levels. That is one reason it is included here.

Practically, this matters because GLP-1 influences satiety and appetite signaling, post meal glucose control, and communication between the gut, brain, and pancreas. By supporting GLP-1 through the gut, the system supports the body’s own signaling rather than overriding it.

Prebiotic fibers, agave inulin and soluble tapioca fiber.

These fibers serve as fuel for beneficial gut bacteria. They help:

  • Feed and sustain microbiome diversity
  • Increase short chain fatty acids, especially butyrate
  • Support gut barrier integrity

Polyphenols from grape extract.

Polyphenols act as selective prebiotics, helping cultivate beneficial bacteria, including Akkermansia, while supporting antioxidant balance in the gut.

Why this formula matters

This is foundational gut work. It does not force a metabolic response. It supports conditions where regulation can happen naturally. Many people skip this entirely, which is why appetite and blood sugar can feel chaotic even with strong effort.

Part 2, Burn, fat mobilization and utilization

Form: Capsule (1 per daily packet) Taken: Daily Primary role: Fat mobilization + metabolic output

Once gut signaling and blood sugar are more stable, the body is better positioned to mobilize stored fat, use fat efficiently for energy, and preserve lean muscle mass when paired with movement.

Designed to support

  • Lipolysis, fat breakdown
  • Fat oxidation
  • Energy expenditure
  • Lean mass preservation when paired with movement

Key ingredients and why they are here

Citrus polyphenol blend.

Studied in a 12 week randomized, placebo controlled trial showing:

  • Reduced body weight
  • Reduced body fat mass
  • Reduced waist and hip circumference
  • No loss of lean muscle mass

Mechanistically, citrus polyphenols influence the cAMP to PKA to HSL pathway, a classic lipolysis cascade involved in fat mobilization. Ex vivo markers also suggest enhanced fat breakdown.

Green tea extract, EGCG.

Supports fat oxidation, antioxidant protection, and metabolic efficiency.

Black ginger, Kaempferia parviflora.

Often used to support mitochondrial activity, vitality, and energy efficiency without harsh stimulation.

Essential oils, bergamot, grapefruit, cinnamon bark.

These contribute to metabolic signaling, digestive and circulatory support, and antioxidant and anti inflammatory pathways.

The cinnamon bark essential oil is sourced from a fifth generation partner farm.

Why this formula matters

This is not about forcing weight loss. It supports pathways that allow fat to be used when the body is ready.

Part 3, Control, blood sugar and insulin support

Form: Capsules (2 per daily packet) Taken: Daily Primary role: Glycemic balance + insulin sensitivity

Blood sugar swings are one of the biggest drivers of cravings, food noise, energy crashes, and difficulty accessing stored fat. The Control capsules are designed to support healthy glucose metabolism and insulin signaling so the body does not stay stuck in repeated spikes and crashes.

Designed to support

  • Healthy blood sugar levels already in the normal range
  • Insulin sensitivity
  • Steadier energy between meals
  • Reduced intensity of sugar and carb cravings

Key ingredients and why they are here

Berberine, phytosomal.

Berberine is one of the most researched botanical compounds for glucose metabolism. In this system, it is delivered using phytosomal technology to support absorption and bioavailability.

Clinically, berberine has been studied for its role in:

  • Supporting fasting glucose and HbA1c
  • Improving insulin sensitivity

It is often compared mechanistically to metformin, though it works through different biological pathways. This makes it particularly relevant for people who experience blood sugar crashes, carb driven cravings, persistent food noise, and difficulty accessing stored fat due to chronically elevated insulin.

R alpha lipoic acid.

Supports insulin signaling and glucose uptake into cells, while also helping manage oxidative stress associated with metabolic imbalance.

Chromium picolinate.

Chromium helps support insulin function and glucose metabolism. Its effects are modest alone, but used here in combination with berberine and alpha lipoic acid.

Gymnema sylvestre.

Traditionally used to help reduce sweet cravings and support glucose metabolism, helpful for sugar driven appetite swings.

Ginger essential oil.

Supports digestion, gastric motility, and inflammatory balance, helping this formula remain gentle and appropriate for daily use.

Why this formula matters

Cravings are not a personal failure. They are often a blood sugar message. This layer supports steadier signals so appetite can feel calmer and more predictable.
